Lima's Plaza de Armas or Plaza Mayor

A quick view of Lima's main square, with the Government's Palace, the Cathedral and the Municipal Palace...

Update...I have found that the video is very slow to load. Just let me know if it happens the same to you. If this is the case, I can send an email attachment to the people interested in seeing it

Hey Marco, this is wonderful. What a great square. I wanna go there and see the place. The architecture of the buildings have a certain 19th century European look and yet with a unique flavor.

Isn't Lima really way up in altitude, or is it just my bad geography memory?

PS: for other visitors here, here is a suggestion: right click on the pic and chose "saves target as" to download the movie to you PC. Takes about 4 minutes at low ADSL speed. Then fire the movie from your local HDD.

Lima is not at an altitude. That square is at 153 meters above sea level.

153 meters.... right, my geography's certainly up the creek, LOL.

Isn't there a South American country of which the capital sits at some 3000 meter altitude?
