A Fascist America...How close are we?
Please take a look and read the article, I believe it is very interesting. By the way, it is not written by a left wing guy. For the right wingers, please read the whole article before posting comments, I have noticed that sometimes you do not do it that way.

Dr. Marco,
Per your orders master I read the whole thing. Without your permission I read it twice master. And for the record - your accurate, but snotty comment about right wingers applies to left and the center as well.
This reminds me of the stuff I had to write in college. A bunch of weakly connected metaphores to explain the color scheme in the Great Gatsby...
Do you really consider this to be objective and rationale? As a whole it is a collection of isolated observations cleverly connected to extreme conclusions.
It is also contains statements that could reveal bias. You say that he is not a "left-wing guy". Maybe not, but he called the Partiot Act "the Republcian response to 9/11". Well, for the record it was the response of the House and the Senate including Dems who participated in the drafting of the act and voted for the act (except for one Dem from California). Ditto Senate. Now, that doesn't mean the reaction wasn't fascist in nature. But if it was a fascist action then fascism includes the liberal left. So much for fascism being the domain of the far right.
The statement about the Internet is an interesting opinion to discuss over a beer, but its pretty much tripe. Getting your infomation in 10 mins via www instead of in 1 hour via CNN isn't that significant.
He bases much of his position on statements from people that nobody ever heard of except in some relatively closed intellectual circles. I'm aware that they could be correct! And, I conceed that we need people that sit around and dream up possbilities. Even if they are rarely correct or useful. But who cares what vaunted Libretarian Cathy Young has to say. Her influence is essentially limited to her one vote. By the way. I picked on her becuase I consider myself to be Libertarian but have the same opinion of the others as well. One vote each, little other significance.
I will say this for the author. He is wise enough to use a lot of conditional words to tone down some of his opinions.
He is certainly welcome to his opinions and I would say that in many ways it is an intellectually written opinion, but that doesn't make it conclusive or correct.
I'll grudingly say it was barely interesting. But I'll also add that I only finished it because of your endorsement.
Anonymous: If that is your opinion I respect it. At least now we can can say that someone told you the things before they happened...if they happen.
